Deepen your relationship with sacred prayers of the Huni Kuĩ people

Welcome to Siriani’s Enchanted Forest - a living songbook of Huni Kuĩ healing prayers, created as a companion for those who feel called to deepen their relationship with song, prayer, Nature, Spirit, and the sacred medicines of the forest.

Siriani’s Enchanted Forest Songbook is a collection of Huni Kuĩ prayers in the Hãtxa Kuĩ language, gathered and interpreted through years of study, ceremony, relationship, and apprenticeship with the Huni Kuĩ tradition.

These are not ordinary songs. They are ancient prayers carried through generations — songs traditionally used in ceremony to communicate with Nature, invoke the forces of the medicines, call upon the enchanted beings, support healing, and guide the journey through the realms of Spirit.

With the growing interest in Huni Kuĩ medicine songs — there is also growing confusion. Many versions of these prayers are now circulating around the world, but not all of them carry the same linguistic clarity, ceremonial context, or connection to ancestral knowledge.

This songbook offers a carefully compiled reference based on ongoing study with living Huni Kuĩ knowledge holders, supporting students to learn the songs with greater respect, accuracy, and understanding.

Compiled by Txana Siriani (Minna Pyhälä) through years of study, ceremony, and relationship, this songbook brings together lyrics, chords, recordings, cultural context, and learning resources for those who feel sincerely called to study and sing these prayers with respect, humility, and care.

Siriani's Enchanted Forest Songbook is:
* A companion for those walking with the medicines of Nature.
* A resource for those learning to pray through song.
* A doorway into a deeper relationship with voice, Spirit, and the enchanted intelligence of the forest.

May these songs bring beauty, magic, transformation and joy into your life.

A resource for clearer, more respectful learning

As Huni Kuĩ prayers have begun to travel more widely around the world, more and more people are feeling called to learn and sing these songs.

At the same time, this growing interest has also created real confusion. Many versions of the same prayers are circulating in ceremonies, recordings, and online spaces — often with different words, pronunciations, melodies, missing parts or mixing multiple prayers.

Like many Indigenous peoples, the Huni Kuĩ have lived through the impacts of colonization, displacement, cultural interruption, and language loss. Many have lost their connection to their native language Hãtxa Kuĩ and the deeper meanings of the prayers have not been fully transmitted across generations.

Also, many of these songs are shared by young Indigenous artists and medicine carriers who are contributing to the revitalization of their culture through music, but who are still early in their study of the medicines and prayers.

Siriani’s Enchanted Forest Songbook was created in response to this complexity.

The lyrics in this book have been carefully studied, documented, and refined through ongoing learning with Rua Inu Keã Huni Kuĩ of Boa Vista village (Jordão, Acre, Brazil), who is a descandent of two lineages of healers (pajés), including many skilled txanas (singers of sacred prayers). His community still communicate exclusively in the Hãtxa Kuĩ language, and carry authentic inherited knowledge of ceremonial rituals and practices that they still actively use and practice.

This does not mean the book claims to offer the only “correct” version of these songs. The prayers are alive, and living traditions naturally carry variation, movement, and regional differences.

This songbook is offered as a doorway into respectful study, not as a claim of mastery or spiritual authority.

This offering is also part of a wider gesture of cultural remembrance and protection. Learning the songs with care can be a contribution to honoring and revitalizing this precious cultural heritage.

By supporting this songbook and taking time to learn the prayers with respect for the words, pronunciation, meaning, and context, you are participating in a living cycle of remembrance.

My hope is that this work may support sincere students around the world, while also offering encouragement and being a resource for Huni Kuĩ singers and artists who are part of the ongoing revitalization of their language, songs, and ancestral knowledge.

Like any tool or instrument, these prayers reveal their depth and power through time, practice, lived relationship, and sincere connection with the beings and forces they invoke.

About the Creator

Minna Pyhälä, also known as Txana Siriani, is a Finnish artist, storyteller, and bridge-builder whose work moves between Finland and the Brazilian Amazon. Shaped by a life lived across cultures, her path weaves together music, spirituality, nature, and intercultural dialogue. Through song, story, and devotional practice, she creates spaces of connection, remembrance, and reconnection with the living world.

Siriani’s Enchanted Forest Songbook was born from Minna’s devotion to learning the sacred Huni Kuĩ prayers known as Huni Meka. Her study began around 2017, guided by inspiration, curiosity, and a deep calling to understand the songs beyond melody — through language, meaning, context, and relationship. What began as an attempt to decipher songs from an oral tradition with limited written resources gradually became a path of apprenticeship and cultural bridgework.

Over the years, Minna’s learning has been shaped by many Huni Kuĩ txanas and, most deeply, by her husband and teacher Rua Inu Keã Huni Kuĩ, whose family comes from a lineage of txana's (masters of prayer) and pajés (shamans) in Boa Vista village (Jordão, Acre, Brazil) and still carries the language, prayers, and meanings of the songs. This songbook is offered as a living learning resource: a carefully compiled companion for those who wish to approach these prayers with greater understanding, respect and reciprocity.

A few important clarifications

This songbook is a resource for learning, practice, and deepening your relationship with the songs, prayers and living wisdom of nature.

It is not a guitar teaching guide and does not replace the support of a music teacher.

The book includes lyrics, chords, chord illustrations, and listening links, but it does not include fingerpicking or strumming patterns for the songs.

The linked audio and video recordings may vary in capo position or tuning pitch, which means learning by ear may require careful listening and, for some people, the support of a teacher or private guidance.

Songs by Huni Kuĩ artists that include lyrics in the Portuguese language are included in the Spirit Sing Songbook.

Ready to Deepen the Journey?

In 2016, when medicine songs entered my life, I had not sung or played an instrument in 15 years. I did not think of myself as a musician — only as someone who felt deeply touched by the songs and the world they opened.

I followed that calling one step at a time. I bought a songbook. I started guitar lessons. I attended song circles. I sang my first song in ceremony. I made my first recording with a group of friends.

Hungry to learn more, I listened over and over to the songs that moved me. I wrote down lyrics and chords, and when I could not figure them out on my own, I asked my teachers for help.

Learning the Huni Kuĩ prayers and songs has required particular patience and humility, since it has become evident over time how each of my teachers along the path has also been a student.

Ten years later, that journey has given rise to hundreds of recordings, original songs, songbooks such as this one, and so many meaningful moments.

But it all began with listening and following my heart's desire for deeper connection — and with a willingness to try, do my best, question myself, admit my mistakes and to keep moving forward even when I didn't feel ready.

If something in you is calling too, perhaps your next step is here - in choosing to invest in deepening your relationship with your voice, the songs, and the living wisdom of nature.
